Mark Bakhet

Founder, Managing Lawyer
Mark is the founder and Managing Lawyer of Bakhet Law Group. After obtaining his Juris Doctor degree at UBC, Mark spent years practicing as a lawyer in Vancouver across a wide range of areas (including corporate, commercial and general solicitor's law). Fueled by a desire to modernize the practice of law and bridge the gap between firms and industry, Mark launched Bakhet Law Group in 2025 with the goal of making legal work significantly more accessible to British Columbians. Having researched and published in the intersections of law with sports, technology and governance, Mark has developed a unique skillset which he leverages to employ a holistic approach to his practice.

Adriana Laurent

Manager, Climate & Marketing
Adriana grew up in Central America and moved to Vancouver while obtaining her degree in the faculty of Land and Food Systems at UBC. Adriana is passionate about climate justice and working towards creating a better world for everyone through policy and public service. ​She was a co-founder of the UBC Climate Hub, worked as a Digital Campaigner at a federal non-profit, supported community granting projects with Vancouver Foundation, and was an Equity and Inclusion Strategist at a local consulting firm. Adriana currently works at the City of Vancouver as the Senior Social Planner in Climate, Equity and Reconciliation. Her role focuses on embedding equity and reconciliation in climate policy through innovative and relational approaches.

Dr. Marize Bakhet

Manager, Healthcare
Marize is a final-year Family Medicine resident working in London, UK. She has a background in global health & international relations and is particularly passionate about women’s health & addressing health inequalities. With experience navigating both the Canadian and UK healthcare systems, Marize brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise regarding medical corporations and health law generally. In her spare time, Marize enjoys exploring the world through cuisine & art.
